In the R 'Race' position, the free travel is minimized, making the lever more responsive; in the S 'Sport' position, the free travel is in an intermediate position, as is the feel at the lever; in the N 'Normal' position, the free travel is greater, resulting in greater modulation and a smoother braking attack. It allows the wheelbase to be adjusted to two positions: 18 mm for maximum modulation and 20 mm for maximum braking readiness.
